I'm just wondering if all pipes will clear forward controls or are their sometimes issues? The bike I am getting is a 1997 Dyna Super Glide and it has Samson Rip Saw pipes. The bike has the stock shifter and brake pedal in the stock position with highway pegs out front. I want to look into getting forward controls.
Any suggestions? From looking on this forum the Kuryakyn and H-D seem like the best forward controls to go with? Where's is the best place to purchase some?
any aftermarket forward will work ( as long as the mounts are for a dyna) and will probably look better than HD's forwards
I loved Hd's forwards but they do look a little cheap but they are comfy.
IMHO kuryakyn is overpriced.
almost all pipes will clear the forward unless they specify otherwise
When I was looking to extend my factory forwards I tried these out: Kustomwerks
But they DID NOT work on an 06 so I had to send them back and go with Kury for double the cost. Now having seen both at the same time, the Kustomwerks quality I felt was better. The chrome looked nicer and the price was MUCH LESS!
Doc at Full Moon cycles was great to deal with too. It's to bad I couldn't use what I bought, but his catalog was incorrect.
Kury is REALLY pricey IMO for stuff made in China like everything else. I'd use them if you have tried other sources and come up with nothing.
