2 fork tube braces
2 reflector bases with long length of wire
2 wiring couplers & pins to crimp onto the reflector wires
misc items, such as wire ties, acorn nuts, etc....
see my post above for quickest/easiest way to install
i pulled the wire out of the backbone until i got the white/black pigtails out of the opening in the frame. Yes it may take some digging and wiggling to get them out, they were generous with the wiring.
Then open the bar controls and cut/cap the wires as outlined.
Then open the signals and rebuild them with the new reflector and wires.
Then mount the signals on top of the lower tree (this way the opening/wire is less noticeable and cleaner looking)
Route/secure the wiring as described and cut the wire to length needed (i removed about 6 inches from my length of signal wires from the reloc kit, but distance may vary per kit).
Then I attached the pins/plugs to the wires and attached that wires to the plugs from the frame.
Thanks! It appears I got the wrong kit then. I'll need to go back to the dealer and get the correct kit.
Thanks a lot for the info. Did your kit come with just the mounting brackets? The above posts make it sound like it comes with new wiring. When I opened up the hand controls, I could not isolate the turn signal wires - did you have to cut and splice them?
Yeah the kit took some re-reading as who ever the technical writer was did not explain, they just said do x then y then z. /shrug
I wish i had the part # laying around but i tossed the box already sadly.
seems there are a cpl different reloc kits out there, another one from the catalog is: 68952-98 and it also requires splicing wires etc... which is not how mine went in.
69433-08A looks like mine except mine also had 2 new turn signal reflector bases with wires attached that had to be cut to length and pigtail plug attached for a plug n play connection to the bikes wiring loom.

ok I went out to the shop and dug out the instructions, I do try to keep things like that (and this thread is why!).
My part # per instructions is same as yours 69433-08a revision 2011-07-01
figure 8. on last page should list the kit contents, mine has 13 items listed.
The parts 10-13 are socket assembly, terminals housing, shrink wrap.
Does yours show that? I basiaclly skipped page one and started on page 2 based on the service tech's advise.
Yours is a later revision than mine, same part number. Mine has 9 parts listed, not 13. I'll try and explain this to the dealer and see if they can get the correct one ordered. Thanks for the help.
no problem, glad i could help. Its sad that they are selling at least 2 different versions of the same part#, when clearly the latest revision/changes were made for a reason.
So question.... I understand pulling the harness out to get them out of the bars... but on a fat bob fxdf, there should be plenty of harness going from the turn bulbs to the mount on the triple tree with only needed a new mounting clamp.
Or have they, with these newer bikes, wired the bulbs directly to the switch?
No need to pull the wires out of the bar, with this kit. The signals are wired directly into the switch harness. But they thought ahead and put 2 pigtails in the bike wiring harness which you can pull out from the frame to tie into vs the old method of splicing into the wiring.
Removal is easy:
Just open the switch controls, snip the wires at the opening where the turn signal wires go into the switch. Then cap the cut wires and put the switch back together and unmount the signals from stock location.
