changing to a 7" headlight
Okay, here's the scoop. I bought a Memphis Shades Batwing fairing for my 2007 Super Glide custom. Bought it from a small business guy through Ebay (I usually love Ebay) but apparently I received the right brackets but a fairing that is for a softail not a SGC. Since I put it on and drove around, it is now used and they won't take back used items. I'm just gonna have to make this work....the only reason I even knew I had the wrong fairing was by how far the headlight was set inside the fairing. I have the stock headlight now but, I'm thinking I should get a 7" rocket type headlight to stretch out to the tip of the fairing. I've looked at Adjure, Arlen Ness, Headwinds, and a generic brand....all seem to be about 9" long and that would just about make this work for me. Ideas on brands or any other thoughts are welcomed...

Can you post up some pics so we can get an idea what your working with. I thought those Softail batwings were set up for Fatboy/Heritage style headlights? Those lights can be gotten pretty reasonably. Very often used but in great shape on ebay as well.

I have a 7" Headwinds Tomahawk that I like (see attached thumbnails). If you do go with the Softail headlight Harley does offer extended trim rings that would make it look longer.
