A) Get JUST handlebars only on eBay and take it to a dealer/indy to hook everything up?

B) Get bars and cables and take them to get installed

c) Order from Hill Country Customs pre-wired, then still probably take them to get installed (I don't trust myself to have everything wired in, straight and tight)

In other words, should I get a cheaper basic product and pay more in labor, or order an almost complete product and pay less labor hours?

I remember not long ago someone saying Harley quoted them at $1100 for apes and install which seems pretty ridiculous.

If I did something like this:

What kind of labor would be involved? Would it just be a simple 1 hour or so at the dealer or do you thin kit would all come out about even either way?

Thanks in advance for any advice...
Did you see this one that even had the controls?

Also I suggest that you go with the plug and play option so later you can change again if you want. That is an awesome setup. I really wish I had gone this route because I want an ability to change quickly from chrome to black when I do the same on my pipes. I spent a total of $700 on my setup and don't have plug and play nor extra controls. The labor was $180. This is very cool, nice find.

Geez $180 labor? Not bad at all...I was at the dealer a couple weeks back when I was on a mission to clean up the rear of my bike. Just out of curiosity i asked what they'd charge to put on detachable hardware, an easy job but figured it they could bang it out in 10 minutes might be worth a few bucks. He quoted me at $132 for labor and $50 for the hardware. Almost $200 to put on 4 bolts, I laughed at him and left, then notched my own sideplates.

LOL, good move...that was an indy who did that at that price for me. I think HD wanted over twice that.
