looks like a lot of people just want to get their "posts" number up , rather than give helpful advice ........ been on this forum for a while now and I still wonder why "if ya dont have anything helpful to say, dont say anything" doesnt make sense to sooo many people. Most people post here for help and advice ...... not your opinion on another issue or attempt at humor ... cant help...dont post !!!!!!!!!!
It's a public forum so you're gonna get responses you weren't asking for. It's not personal. Just ignore them. As for the bars, in the past I've seen folks asking about them but never saw any bars for dynas.
Rear guards and true duals fall into the same category. Nobody makes them for a Dyna. A couple of manufacturers have tried, but so far nothing has come of it that will ever hit the market.
If you want rear guards, you'll have to make them yourself. But dont expect them to be functional. They'll only be cosmetic. If you go down, theyre capable of doing more damage than good on a Dyna.
looked into this more.
the swing arm really messes this idea up.
only mounting point stiff enough for me to mount to is the upper shock stud.
a big loop from and back to this bolt and a out rigger forward
What about the FXDP Defender dyna? I think they stopped making them in 2005. I don't have the manual but I know they have rear guards on them. I realize the frame is different but mounting points should be the same.

From this picture, it looks like it has guards around the lower part of the bags, but not an actual rear guard like you'd find on a RK Classic. I wish it did so I'd have something to work from:

So with 24 posts you are going to become the post police? A lot of what goes on in here is aimed at humor, thicken your skin or don't ask questions.
I do a lot of fabrication but I would not waste my time trying to satisfy someone who whines about what people say.
Sorry, I know this was not directly helpful to your question, is was meant to be helpful in life.

If you are just looking for tip over protection, some cheap wide rigid bags should do the trick.
With a convoluted mounting point for bars you are likely to do more damage having them then not with a custom fabbed set.
The bags would have the give to them to absorb instead of just redirect, and would also be useful to have. Read plenty of threads of bags saving damage on tip overs.
