Don't waste your money on the tent types if you have any sort of wind in your area. For half the money you could build a small shelter out of plywood and 2x4s.

might look horrible in the car port though... not a bad idea at all. but might look real red neck

any ideas on how to make it look less obtrusive on the eye as you drive by the house?

Personally would much rather drop that 300-400 on a metal utility building. Racks can be put on the walls for other storage, gear, tools, etc.. abit more secure (although its nothing to break into one of those its still more secure than a tent).

I have a bike barn. I rent and having something more permanent really wasn't practical. I like the bike barn and it does a decent job of protecting the bike. I was even able to get the bike up on a lift and take the wheels off to take to get work down and still cover the bike up.

I have a friend who used one in Michigan and it stood up to a lot of snow.

I had the Cycle Shell. Was GREAT!

Never had any issues, kept the bike well protected in up to several feet of snow and high winds.

I was trying to order the cycle shell and accidently ordered that barn thing. It came ripped and was a piece of ****. Sent it back and ordered the right cycle shell for just a little more money. It came packaged awesome and no real setup or building it. The thing is awesome and I have been using it for two years and it has held up awesome. It is strong (I live in florida and we get hurricanes and it has been through a few) and is super simple to pul the bike in when I get home in the morning
