need tuning help

i have a 2001 fxd, the other day i decided too pull my plugs and see how they looked, too my surprise they were black, which leads me too believe that the bike is running richer than it needs too be, i know there is a screw that i can turn in or out, but i dont know how many turns it needs, the bike has s/e slip ons, s/e a/c and rejetted thanks in advanced for your help, i have been trying to search but too no avail.

Try installing the original jets (45 slow, 190 main) and turn the airfuel mix out, from lightly seated, 2- 2 1/2 turns. Some guys also install a sportster needle ,H-D p/n 27094-88.
