thanks for all the replies. i was almost leaning away from V&H pipes just because i am going for a 'custom' look, but its hard to get with V&H since everyone has them. but i do like the look of the big radius pipes. samson seems like the next best way to go.i really just want some badass deep sounding pipes that will make childrens ears bleed.
I second the Thunderheader they're just plain loud as hell, look different than all the others, make good HP and come in black.Make sure you have a good tuner like a SERT or a PC3 or your bike will backfire like a sombich.
Hey, Cable,
A guy I work with just bought a new Wide Glide and had the dealer put slash cut BG3 pipes on it. The pipes ended up not being parallel down by the swingarm and I noticed that yours look like that too. Is there enough adjustment at the transmission bracket to get the pipes parallel? I told him he could probably adjust them, but he wants to take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.
I'm not bashing the way your pipes look, just wondered if you had tried to adjust them. My buddies are worse than yours.
I just got the python 2-1 for my 06 bob. It sets off alarms ok out of the box, and it made it a new bike on the freeway. the 88 cruises at 70 in 6th now, when before, it was dead under 85 in high. If you're not worried about torque, its obnoxiously loud with the baffle removed. By the way, this pipe is actually made by vance&hines. 06 street bob SE air cleaner, stg1 download, python 2-1
I have an 06 street bob and have the big radius 06. V&H just came out with a 2 into 1 Big Radius pipe. Looks just as cool. Performance wise I think Thunderheader rules from what Ive seen on a couple of my buddies bikes.

I'd have to disagree, unless by performance you mean volume. Thunderheaders don't give much backpressure, therefore not much power, at least if the dyno results I've seen are enough to judge by. But some guys swear by them. They are louder than hell though.
