Lexol might be best since your leg goes across it at times... Mink oil could leave ya with oily jeans

I was selected to test the Long Ride Shields universal mount windshield... It came in and was installed this weekend. Rode with it about 150 miles or.. VERY comfortable and very well made product!

For more info checkout the tester thread!

Long weekend with great weather and cant leave the homefront to go riding? What do you do? The "Under 50$" Thread strikes again! lol

Moved the front sigs and Highlighted the Voltage Reg. Still need to dress up the regulator a bit then finish it off with some clear.

Sorry bro missed your post ..

Issues no.. My leg does get on it but I got used to it being there very quickly and I'm a short legged fkr lol. I see you have forwards on your ride so I'd bet you also have longer legs - Youll have no issues The only time I ever even think about it being there anymore is when its stuffed really full and I have to walk the bike backwards more than normal.. but nothing you cant work around/live with.

Can post a pic if u need but its very straight forward. ...

First off welcome!

Yes bigtime plans for a speedo relocate but still mulling over the options lol. Think I have it worked out and I'll share details on it very soon.

I dunno if that shield would exactly qualify as being "quick detach" but it may as well be. The mount is 4 allen head bolts... loosen 2 and remove 2 and the shield is off and stowed in its carrying bag. Maybe 3-5min tops. I highly reccomend this shield.. and I am NOT a shield guy - if you are looking into shields checkout the tester thread I have going and there is some more detailed info and pics and more to come..
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...duct-test.html

They also just became available from Long Ride Shields:
http://www.longrideshields.com/universal.html

The one on my bike is the "Thunderbolt" in clear. I'll end up tinting it but I got it clear initally in case LRS's claim of being able to run it short didnt hold up lol. Thats completely NOT the case - it could actually be lowered another inch or 2 from where its currently mounted. LRS is a good bunch of folks!

As far as the FXD.. yeeees I love it!. So streamline and clean... great starting point for making a bike your own! Youll find FXD's of all shapes and style here... from outlaw to full blown bagger

Yeah I'm in the same boat with the relocation. Leaning towards replacing the tank. But that may be a winter project. As for the shield, I'm not really either, but I love how the attachment dosent stick out aesthetically, it kinda flows. But basicly would just want one for the longer hwy rides. But keep up the good work man.

Personally Id rather the tank stay clean... may even do a smooth tank one day. Out of the options I've seen I really like this one though it would depend on what sorta bars you like:

That pic was posted here by a member thats not around anymore so not much details on it.. but I got a good idea how to get it done and if I like it itll end up here ofc
