I currently have a BMW touring bike, which is hi tech, comfortable and boring!!! I traded in an '04 Road King on it earlier this year (my mistake!). Anyway, my wife has now decided she wants her own steed, and I've decided I've had enough of the Beemer, and I was thinking of getting two Dynas. With my wife riding her own bike, I don't think I need a dresser, and for the most of the real riding I do (mostly Sunday rides, with the occasional 4 - 5 day trip), I'm thinking that two Street Bobs might be the ticket. They look like great value compared to the Wide Glide and Low Rider, and I like the idea of the mini apes for comfort.
I know it's a personal thing, but is the Bob great value or am I missing something?
wait a minute..let me get this straight..you traded a harley for a BMW??? Please get yourself some harleys again...
Whichever way you decide to go, you're doing the right thing!!! You'll certainly pay more for a WG and a low rider...but that's what I'd do....but I'm biased.

The street bob is definately a lotta bike for the money.
Myself, there is no way I would purchase two identical HDs at the same time.
Double your pleasure. The BoB, and any other Dyna on the side, would be great.
Get a Bob and aother Dyna and when you get home you 2 can fight over who gets to ride what. It may change from day to day on which bike to ride depending on the mood your in. Choices are great!
i say get 2 bobs. They are a lot of bike for the money and if you get 2 different bikes you'll end up fighting over the 'better one' and then trading up in a year.
Also,... Dont overlook the Superglide. The possibilities are limitless with it, but which ever Dyna you choose I'm sure it will be everything that you both hope for and then some.
I love my superglide, and buying it for an MSRP of $12,295, you can go wrong. Plus it gives you an excuse to dump a bunch of money into mods since you bought the cheapest DYNA.
The Bob is certainley good value, but so is the Super Glide Custom, which is what I've ordered, and is a lot cheaper than either the Low Rider or WG.
I loved the Bob, but I found the Wide Glide the most comfortable with the higher seat height, but I seriously dislike the looks of the WG.
I also disliked the Ape bars on the Bob, and the SG Custom has a seat height between the WG and the lower Bob and Lowrider.
I'd say see which of the Dyna's she prefers and which you prefer, and you may find neither of you like the Bob......
Yep, definately try if at possible before you buy! Maybe rent a couple different models for a day or 2 so you can really get a feel for the bike; if you just do a demo ride it might seem fine for 15 or 20 minutes, but what's it gonna feel like after 6 or 8 hours? Finding out that answer after you bought it isn't really the best time to find out! My wife started out on a Sportster, she lasted 4 months on that and then went to a new Street Bob last year. That's the one she felt most comfortable on. She's 5' 4". She also rides my 05 Electra Glide Classic. Oh yeah, I'm 5' 6". Size doesn't really matter................are you comfortable with the bike? fwiw...........I've been riding the front seat for 42 years............the Street Bob is the first time I can recall walking into a dealership and seeing a bike I felt needed no alteration off the floor! Wife felt the same.......we both loved it instantly and bought it right then (weren't planning another new bike until maybe a year or so!) I bet all this only confused you more! Sorry bout that.......we both love the Bob though!
Good luck
