Anybody run a set of tall window bars instead of t-bars with a fairing? Seems to make more sense to me. You can keep your gauges (fxdx) in stock position and still see them and be able to still use the windshield of the fairing if need be, plus no mickey mouse look. If so please post pics and type of bars. Looking for something like westcoast t-bars. Narrow with very little pullback so they feel the same

I thought about using these but I am sure the FXDX gauges will be slightly obstructed.
The West Coast T Bars can be ordered with bungs to mount the FXDX gauges. What looks Mickey Mouse about the West Coast Bars? Just order the MX T Bar and have the gauges mounted no higher than grip height.

Check out Jaypee's post on his new bars. He used the gauge mounting bracket that you need for T bars and flipped that and the gauges around. You will have to flip the gauge pod upside down as well. You can still use the T bars without the Mickey mouse ears. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...rs-risers.html
I've been planning some taller window bars for some time now... I think it would compliment the look of the fat bob better. Something like window bars or even 90 degree (z bars) with a cross bar along the top. Almost giving it the BMX look. With the wide front end of the Fatbob I think T-bars are too narrow.
Someday... I've got a buddy that has fabbed up some bars... I'm either going to have him do it once I figure out exactly how wide and tall I want them, or I'll start shopping around to other places that make custom bars.
You could have BR's Customs make them for you... basically their 90's with a crossbar... or their T-bar top piece sitting on a window instead of tall risers...
Im contemplating a new project(street bob, fat bob or a 05-06 sportster roadster) in the next year. And whatever i start with I am goin to be adding "Window" bars. I figure 8" or 10" is the perfect height. I have 10" 90 bars on my deluxe that BR Customs made for me. They end up the perfect height.
