I know a lot of the guys on the sporty forum switch out the rear shocks for OEM air shocks. Has anyone done the swap on a Wide Glide? Was thinking about it. What say ye?
To be honest, I didn't ride enough since I put them on, winter we know
I bought the shocks for the look, love the old school rubber boots matching my front. Another reason is riding 2up, my girl friend has Scoliosis and carry a rod on her back, every pothole I hit does impact her lol, I am hoping air shocks are gonna help. Go for it, significant ride improvement.

i put them on my 11 wide glide and ride was night and day AFTER i changed the oil out to 10wt, the 5 wt that comes in touring shocks just isnt heavy enough for
a better ride due to shock angle ( at least this is what i was told) and it gave me a very squishy ride that would bottom out on heavy bumps no matter how much air i put in.
once i went to the 10 weight all i needed was 9lbs of air for my 160lbs and 15lbs with my 130lb wife on the back.. the ride was a dream and i pulled them off when i traded it in last month with intentions to put them on my new FLD but so far im diggin the
stock FLD suspension...
gives you all you need to know for HD factory shocks, i ended up with a set of 54635-09 12"
off of the site here for $90 shipped which were a perfect replacement for the stock shocks
