The previous owner of my bike had the cams installed, and apparently couldn't restrain his right hand, so the rear tire is almost history at 2500 miles. I just checked on a new one, and it seems the only manufacturer that makes the replacement size (180/60B 17) is Dunlop, and it's only available through HD. 310.00 for the tire only, thank you very much! How many miles should I expect out of a new one if driven in a reasonable manner?
You need to Google that tire number..Just found a bunch of vendors $197.00
Ya know, I always tell people to google anything they want, and I didn't do it myself. I called my local indy, and they said none of their suppliers had that size. I saw JP had it in a Pirelli for that price. Anyone know anything about the quality of the Pirelli Night Dragon tires? I've used their tires on cars, but not on bikes. Also, I would think the Pirelli should be the same width as it has the same aspect ratio (60). The Dunlop is a bias ply tire as the Pirelli is, not a radial. Thanks Capt.!
