Hi everyone, I have a 2008 FXDF. Ordered 10" inch mini apes from Road 6 Customs with 1" riser. Was wondering about the cable length for Clutch, Throttle/Idle and Break lines upper and lower. I would like top order these prior to getting my handlebars due to time restraints. If anyone could give some part numbers or just lengths of cables they used that would be great. Thx all
Find the stock length for a FXDB and order them for a FXDF. That lenght will work perfect for your setup. You don't need to extend out the wiring as there is plenty of slack in the neck. The only concern is the brake line. The lower portion is pre-set, but I can't remember what the top line needs to be.
I have 10" mini apes with 1-1/2" risers.
Here is what I ordered. I just went to the magnum shielding site to view my past order. Unfortunately it didn't give all the details. I had the boxes in the garage and checked the part numbers. I don't have the clutch cable info as I didn't save that box.
All my stuff is in the black chromite. The lengths worked out great with exception of the clutch cable. I could have gone with another inch or so but it works fine as is.
I waited until I had my bars mounted so I could take precise measurements. Magnum Shielding was great to work with. They were extremely fast in getting the order processed & delivered.
Here is a picture of both the information and of the bars.
