Exhaust Question
Hi all. I hate to start another exhaust thread, but....
I have been shopping for a new exhaust for my 2012 FXDF as part of a planned stage 1 upgrade. Just shopping at this point as there are not many 2-1 options available for the 103. I've done a bit of research using the search function and picked up a lot of info, which is why I'm deciding to go 2-1, but I have one question remaining.
When comparing the Thunderheader, Bassani Road Rage, and the D+D FatCat, I can't really figure out which is loudest, quietest etc. as I've not been able to compare side by side. If the folks on the forum have any thoughts on this question, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.
Rich

If it's too loud, you're fine. If it happens to be too quiet than you're back at square one.
Seriously; My friend got a FXDF at the same time I got my FXDC. Personally I like the look of HD's "Tommy Gun" exhaust. They look unique compared to what's out there and better than my stock pipes.
After weighing some options, I installed some Cycle Shack slip-ons(MHD-348) on his ride. They look the same, only a little shorter but put out some nice notes.
Something to consider.
