I have a set of floor boards like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/ADJUSTABLE-D...sories&vxp=mtr laying around in my shed I'm thinking of trying em out.I'm interested in seeing what other floor board options are available for Dynas. Most of the generic/cheap adjustable ones are saying they're not recommended for mid controls. Why not?
I have the same brand in the half moon flavor. My guess with the mid controls is that due to the size of the boards, you just would not be able to operate the controls effectively. There may be a way to set them up with mids, but looking at mine I just can't see them working. If you did get them on they would probably need to be be so low they would be very restrictive to the bikes ability to corner as well. They really are meant for bikes with forwards. Just my observations of course. That being said, I have noticed that people can be pretty darn creative on this forum, so maybe others have pulled it off???

I have footboards for a '12 FLD Switchback on my '06 FXDi Superglide. works good....looks like the've belonged there all along. It's about a $ 400.00 to $ 450.00 mod.
If you're intrested, I'll post some pics and a list of PNs, prices, and notes FYI.
There are also a few here on the Forums that use the footboards for a FXDP (police).
Just do a search for "floorboards on a Dyna" here. There's plenty of info here on that subject.
Hope this helps.

Reason: can't spell
Some of us have actually adapted Softail floorboards to fit. The FXDP are very expensive (about $500 used on eBay), Wyatt aftermarket copy of FXDP is about $400 and better suited for shorter legs. FLD system is made for the Dyna and just became available this year and as stated runs about $450 and a perfect bolt on.
I have about $150 into my FLSTF floorboards but require you to make an adapter, there are none in the aftermarket.
Do they sell the FLD floorboard system as a kit or do you have to buy all the parts separately?
At the time I did mine, my parts guy had just recieved "shop copies" of the parts book for the FLD, the parts were purchased separately. I doubt that has changed. The list I offered previously, is compiled straight out of the FLD parts manual and my reciepts. My parts guy helped me research The info I provide with my notes. And I've got a few afterthoughts about it.

54165-12 SUPPORT, right footboard $ 52.72
54172-12 SUPPORT ASSY, right footboard $ 68.75
