FXDX vs Fat Bob Handling
The rear is about 1 and a 1/4 inch longer Road King adjustable shocks, the pics that follow were with 1 inch longer than stock progressive 440 rear shocks as well as pics with the Prgressive 440's.
All miles are on the unexpectedly awesome stock goofy tread Fat Bob Dunlop 427 tires. It is a fantastically FUN bike in tight twisties up to about 55 mph, tho higher than that speed when leaned over, the rubber mounts allow the rear end to sort of do its own thing, not to mention the frame flex imparts its' own handling mis-cues at higher speeds.......

My friend's wife has a Honda. It too has 39mm forks, just like the FXDX. Because it's a girl's bike.
So if you ilke FXDX, you must like metric bikes as well.
In which case, maybe you would be better off with a Honda Fury?

I am not here to say the FXDX is better than the SB, however I recently had both and comming from a super-bike background, I opted to keep the FXDX.
The FB was nice and stable on the starightways, but heavy and I felt the front tire was no promoting the agility of the bike. On the other hand, the chassis was stiffer than the FXDX before the chassis stabilizers.
That being said, I favor the 39mm forks/19 in front tire for canyon carving.I see room for improvement on the rear shocks even after having modyfied the read OEM 13.5"s that is why I am getting a pair of Wilbers piggybacks for Valentine...
