Ive read several reviews that were positive and they are priced right. Ive been thinking about getting a pair for riding with the ol during the cold season when we wear our full face helmets.
I have a set. The Q2 works great. Comm wife my wife was nice, when she was having a less than relaxing ride. Phone calls were clear, up to about 65mph. Nice to have iPod playing on long rides. Won't work optimally with smartphones, though.
The beauty of a smartphone is that it can play music through Bluetooth, but still take calls through Bluetooth. The Q2 can't handle that. It can only pair with a smartphone, but won't play music. If you plug in the iPod, you can hear music, and hear calls, but won't have voice.
I'd sell the 2 units to you, but only if you don't have smartphones. You'd be disappointed with them, with smartphones.
We have the Q2 and are happy with the results. We ride with open face helmets so the wind noise is greater than say if you were to go with full face, but we can still hear each other while at highway speeds, though town it's just like being beside each other that's how clear ours are.But the main thing about them is the safety factor,we can let the other know if theres something on the road up ahead or watch out for a certain cage if they look like their not looking etc,it's also great when travelling outside of your town and you get seperated in traffic, you still have contact with your partner and can tell them you'll either wait or say turn at this exit etc, etc,we would'nt ride without them now,we are considering upgrading to the Q4 sometime,I believe that gives you a mile distance,I would recommend them.
Both scala and sena are great unit, I chose sena for one reason, jog dial is better than buttons. How hard to find the right button to hit when you are riding on the hwy with thick gloves? Not me
Thsnks for the info guys! Picked up a set for 3 bills and cant wait to try them out. Little brother and I are taking a cruise down the west coast, along the southern border, and back up through the mid west in August and they will come in handy.
G/f bought a set of the Q2s. Work okay but we found we really didn't like using them much - guess we're more into the ride. She'd probably sell them for a good price if anyone's interested. PM me.
my wife keeps asking if we should get something like this. She did not appreciatie it when I told her "if I wanted to talk to her, we would have taken the car."
