Got a question for you guys, I have a 2009 FXD, was wanting to know if there is a way to eliminate the speedometer on the handlebars. Riding it for the past couple of years, I would like to put it down lower, clear up some space on my narrow grip apes. Thanks for the help

You have several options, you could get a wideglide tank and switch it over to the tank, that is what i did, or get a sportster custom riser set up and moves it behind the bars instead of up on top,, if you have high risers then they make a speedo clamp that attaches to the tall risers. I have attached a pic of the sportster riser set up used on the custom models, these can be bought used on Ebay, i have seen these used on Dynas and these risers also come straight or pull back version

Thanks Robtarra, switching tanks is really not an option for me right now because I just sent mine off to be painted. So I will check into the other

Forum member Skinless went with a small Dakota Digital mounted between bars and tank. It turned out well.

I forget now who makes it but there is a mount that bolts to the left fork leg that works pretty well. It moves the speedo and the idiot lights as well.

Is this the RSD part? I saw one on a Sportster 48 that was at my Dealer for a raffel.

Joker makes a speedo relocate for FXD's-looks cool mounted down below bars on left side. I think there are some pictures here- search this site.
