what year and model dyna has a 5 inch speedometer?
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
the 2011 FXDWG dash has a 4" opening. If you're wanting to put a 5" speedo on it, you will need a dash from a FXDC or FXDB.
That part # is 71211-04 (instrument panel, chrome). This part is about $140 through HD, or $116 through Ronnie's HD online.
Also, if you want to trim it out with a tank bib that matches the dash, then you will want part# 61250-06, which just has generic Harley stitching on it. Don't use bib part # 51890-07 because that has a specific Super Glide Custom medalion on it.
It looks like you're already on the right track for the 5" speedo, but make sure it's compatible for an '11...in '12 & up they are different electronically & won't work.
In the manual the for the HD combo unit, it says it is compatible with '11 dyna including the FXDWG that has a 5 inch speedo. Im still unclear why they would word it that way, unless there was a '11 model of FXDWG that came with a 5".... This is my first bike and didnt grow up in the culture so Im still learning the nuances of the market. I learned quick from the stealership here that they will tell you stuff is bad when its not just to move the money. And no they didnt get any money, their body language was a tell tale sign they had no virtues.

The '11 Wide Glide has a 4" speedo. Their wording is confusing...especially if they are showing it for '04-'11 models. '08 & earlier Wide Glides used a different console, but with the WG redesign in '10, the tank & console were changed to the 4.7 gallon smaller tank with the 4" speedo.
Also, I don't know if I mentioned this already, but a speedo for a '12 or newer bike will not work on an '11...different electronics. In '12, they added a tach & scrolling through the trips, odo, tach, etc. went from being on the console to on the left handlebar. Bike electronics are different on '12 & newer also...that's when HD went to the CANBUS system.
Just tryin' to help you understand the differences & what is compatible and what is not.
