Default First Ride Post Surgery

I finally got my new pipes mounted up and the new bars were done last week. The Dr. And the physical therapist both said I need to wait another 6-8 weeks before I can ride, but I couldn't help myself. I started it up to hear the new pipes and let it run for a bit. Temperature was in the high 50's today so I said WTF. I just went for about a 5 mile ride, but the pipes sounded great and the new bars give a lot of control. Once I get it all cleaned up I'll take some pics. I also won't say anything to the Dr. or the wife. I'll get **** from both of them. Felt great to be back out there. Last ride was mid November and surgery was December 9th.

Kudo's to you. If I had listened to all those stinkin' sawbones, I would have sold my bikes years ago.

This was the knee 5 weeks ago. I've come a long way since then. I think a few more weeks and I'll be good to go with no problems.

Ouch...Well, welcome back. I'd like to think that the bikes miss us just as much as we miss them. I hope you get a couple more breaks in the weather so you can sneak in a few more rides.

I was riding with a foot injury (week 5 therapy) and was rolling slowly at a stop & went I put my foot down pant leg caught end of the peg. Thank gawd the peg folded up. Was wearing looser pants than usual.
