If you can work on your bike, you can change a hot water heater. Do it yourself next time and save $400+ in labor.

What exhaust system were you planning to get? I got my system at http://directharleyparts.com/ And it was a great deal....my whole stage one ran me about $673.95! Installed myself!

My water heater just went out also. I had a quote to replace for almost 1K. I did it myself and the total was 350 total.

+1 on buying from directharleyparts.com...I got my propipe there for 479 delivered and was here in 4 days.

Yup. I work in home remodeling so its a little easier for me, but my plumbers do them from $850-$1000 depending on size and what floor its on. I'm getting ready to do mine for my landlord for $900. The heater costs about $350 or so with everything needed as rooti said. Going to do the one in their personal home next for $1100. That one is a 75 gallon on the second floor. It needs a pan with a vacuum lock. About $500-600 for everything.

Run an flexible extension of the HWP out to the garage, then wrap it around the exhaust header and then back into the house system. So you can start the bike up and let it get hot to warm the water up, then run back inside to the shower locker to wash Yo' azz. Gotta think outside the norm. That's what bikin' is all about man.
