My wife refuses to ride on my current dyna due to many mods that leave it a bit uncomfortable for the passenger. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has ridden 2 up on both of these models and your thoughts on which one is most comfortable.. I am right at about 6 ft 230 and she is 5'9 around 150... need something that will be comfortable for 2 to 3 day trips..
I've got many a mile on my 02 Heritage 2 up and loaded down. Now I ride solo and she rides the FLD. Don't think I'll ever go back to riding two up again.
Are you going to keep the dyna? If so, I would go with the heritage. Better yet...look at the road king. My wife rides all day on the back of my dyna, but then i set it up to be comfy for her.
I own a switchback but plan on getting a road king in the future. I also went solo on the FLD but I have it setup to switch to a 2 up if I have to. Your wife and you should be comfortable on the soft tail but if you have the bread put out for the road king. I test drove both and the king well is the king.

For me, the RK didn't do it. I didn't care for how I sat on it. Seemed like the gas tank was shoved back or the seat was too far up...i dunno, just didn't feel right. nothing like a dyna. I'm 6' 210 so we are probably similar in leg length etc.
My brother in law is also same size as us and my sister is about same size as your wife and after owning a RK for 10 years and 80k miles, they switched this year to a limited. It's about $27k but it has everything, so no big bucks on lots of mods making it relatively priced right. My sister loves the ride and comfort of that bike and commented how the RK would trash her back after a full day and when they got the limited? The first trip they did was from Bakersfield to Boston and back. 8000 miles in 19 days...she said it was awesome the whole time.
When I sat on his limited, it felt great to me too. Just food for thought and an option.
edit; as far as the switchback, I personally see it as a cruiser and it can tour, but for comfortable touring...it's a good one up...two up is a stretch I think.
