I just purchased a HD helmet lock for my 05 Low Rider. Went to install and for the life of me, not sure where I can put this lock. I have the HD soft leather saddle bags and the small backrest.

Really don't want my helmet to walk off when I am in the store.

Anyone installed one?

I'm not sure there is a good place if the 05 is anything like the 04. I ended up buying a cable that I run through sissybar and helmet.

Some folks use hand gun cable locks to secure their helmet.

 

We install them on either the left or right side of the frame down tubes. You can hold it up to the tube with your helmet on it and see which side you like, and how high it has to be to hold your particular helmet. I have one on each side of my EG.

Make sure it is where you want it before you install the screws. They are hard to get off once you have them on.
