my fatbob
all the blacked out stuff is plastic wrap , it is heated and applied , looks like paint , but it can be heated and removed again , the only thing is you do ge a slight seem , so its applications are limited to parts where this doesn't matter or like the shocks , it can be hidden at the back , its a very good colour match to the frame paint on my FB , it comes in loads of colours and finishes including matt and textured like carbon fibre
the head light bucket is on the cards soon and maybe a section of wrap between the trees ...they should both be fairly cheap and i can pull the light off , and run it down the powder coaters myself ....
thanks for the feed back guys
and a better quality one that is plyable when heated , it cools down and stays in the shape of what it is applied to , it can also be printed on
i had a sign maker do mine , he does cars & vans as well as banners etc , he has done bike fairings in Matt black and carbon look , but this was his first go on fiddly bits of chrome , it worked out well , I'm pleased because i can return the bike to stock chrome if i want to , where , if it were powder coated , thats it .....
have a look at this , its the same stuff
