Street Bobs are a great ride I have 6K on mine and yes the mods are a blast. Day trips are no problem and twisties are fun. Taking a week trip this fall so I will add some bags.
I bought my 06 Street Bob last year. Even though it was 10 years old it was still under 10k on the odometer. This was my first Harley, I had been riding a BWM prior and loved it for it's comfort while eating up the miles. As soon as I sat on the Bob I knew it was the right bike, it just fit. I'm also 6'1" and 250lbs. I left the dealership and over 1200 miles on it that weekend. I picked up saddle bags this winter and replace the bandolier seat with an original solo last fall. I'm not sure there will be a whole lot more mods, don't want to mess with perfection.
