Okay, cleared the codes and rode a couple of miles. Same story, stalls at stops and threw the same codes. Guess I'll try cleaning the IAC first. Thanks again for the fast replies and good input.

When did it start happening? After washing or rain, etc? Any other symptoms, other than the ones listed, like hard to start or cutting out while cruising, etc?

P0374 Crank Position Sensor synch error. Possibly corrosion/poor connection @ the connector which is located behind the voltage regulator or corrosion/poor connection between PCV and ecm harness or ecm and PCV connector or faulty PCV or CKP sensor?

U1016 may be a result of 0374?

Cleaning the IAC will probably not solve the problem.

1st I would check the CKP connector for water/corrosion/loose, etc. since it is easy to access and gets a lot of exposure to the elements and clear codes & recheck to see if it idles properly.
Unfortunately it is probably the PCV and/or the connections @ either the ecm or the OE harness connector, so in the name of expediency I would disconnect the PCV and take it out of the equation and recheck to see if it idles.

Wheelie, I have no fob, only a key so that's not it. Thanks anyway though.

Dynabob, I just brought the bike home, no rain or washing yet, beautiful cool morning (mid 50s.) I made sure to compression brake after reading a few threads, also cleaned the intake and sensor. Seems to be doing better now but if it cuts up again I'll try your idea.

On that note, is there anything special I should know about disconnecting the PCV if it comes to that? Thanks again all.

two solutions: 1) check battery terminal connections...Mine scoot did this and it was the battery connection. 2) air cleaner...the local HD dealer told me a dirty Air filter will cause the FI bikes to stall as a safety precaution for the motor.

Okay, did some riding and the high idle issue seems to have cleared up. The bike still stalls at some stops though. I've checked the air filter and battery terminal connections, both look good. I'm starting to think Fox is on to something with the clutch.

Due to local terrain, I often stay in 2nd gear while stopped. If I'm thinking right, the bike stalls more often when I downshift all the way to 1st for launches. There is almost no "play" or slack in the clutch and I may not be maintaining enough pressure on it while stopped. It doesn't feel like the bike is trying to creep ahead or anything but maybe I need to adjust the clutch a bit.

Lo-rider, that's on the agenda, just waiting for another payday to roll around, heh.

Edit: Just found a .pdf manual at Tradebit.com for $8.

Edit edit: site is apparently busted, wont take my payment info.

Buy the manuals at harleydavidson.com - this will eliminate any drama in obtaining them. PDF manuals are useless when you need to carry them around or make corrective notes in them.
