Looking at some bars for my 06 Fxdli with stock front end. The bars I like only come in 10.5" width and my fork width is 8.625", just curious if anyone has done this and how it/this will look? Also how does one change risers with having the riser mounted dummy lights?
I'm not sure I understand the question. You say your bars are only 10.5" width. Are you talking about from end of handgrip to end of handgrip ?
If so I can't imagine riding with bars that narrow. Seems like it would pinch you right in the shoulders. My Tbars are 31" wide. I've ridden some that were only 21" wide and they were not comfortable to me.
As far as the dummy light panel there are folks that sell clamp on meter bars, I believe Accutronix does.
frozen personally i dont think it will look right on a narrow front end. i just put on similar bars , as they are 10.5" wide on the base (measured outside) they are 12" tall, and 34.5" end to end. I have them on my wide glide. Just my opinion.
Its only 1" c-c different on each side, you really think it would be that bad? I just went over to a buddies house to see how his spare 18" apes looked and they are 10.5 wide. I didnt think it was too bad. But they are more rounded versus the sharp lines of the pist apes.

Very nice! What kind of bars are those? They look very similar...do you know if they come in a narrow version?
my bars are a little wider than my forks on my Superglide (not sure of exact measurments, will check in the daylight). I think they look fine.............
