Mean City reworks the padding underneath then puts the original cover back on. Or at least thats what they did for mine. And I am very happy with it.
I wanted to send a seat to Mean City last year and never got around to it. I bought a Reach Seat off a fellow member. I liked the way it lowered me but felt squashed up against the tank. I think I am gonna give them a call.
Still interested in trying to find which solo seat would feel best. Maybe I can find some at the dealer to try. Just have to avoid the temptation of the new bike

I broke my #5 lumbar years ago and my back can get sore quick, especially with that stock thing harley calls a seat Lol
With a deep bucket seat, good shocks and mid controls I can ride all day. The sundowner is my best friend Lol
Ive read a lot of great reviews on the mustang vintage. Having good back support is key

Yeah, when I had my Street Bob I couldn't wait to put forward controls on it, and wound up leaving the mid pegs on. Then I bought the Wide Glide. I'm thinking I like the mid's better myself. When I had my Sportster I was actually looking into putting rear controls on it
