I got a HD coffee mug, HD parking only sign with our last name in the bar part of the bar and shield, 2 ton floor jack, $200 bucks, Gladiator garage organization thingies, $20 Starbucks coffee card, Carona beer PJ pants

My wife and I decided to give instead of recieve this year....and not to any family members...We decided to help out a shelter here close to our home.....However I did have to buy a couple of hundred dollars worth of stuff for "bob" ( Black fin covers and air cleaner, chrome and rubber grips, chrome switch housings, chrome master cylinder cap...

The wife and I had a NO GIFT policy this year, for a couple reasons. One being her pay cut and the other being my unemployement.
Same thing I told my parents...for cryin' out loud I am pushing 40! Quit buying me presents!
So my daughter got a really cool HD back pack in PINK from my parents. And all the other stuff grandchildren get. Of course...anything HD she got was MADE CHINA and she was quick to point it out...LOL.
But then I figure all the present BS is done and my Mom brings me a Remington box. She says it's from my Dad...I open it to find a Remington 870 Express 12ga Rifled bbl synthetic shotgun with cantilever barrel. WTF?!?! I thought we had this sorted out. It appears he won a raffle for a gun and traded the 30-30 Marlin he won for this 12ga and gave it to me to use where I now hunt that is a shotgun area.
I tell ya', the time with the family is the most important part. We spent all our $$$ andenergy giving the kids a good Christmas. But it killed me to not buy my wife a gift for the 1st time in 10 YEARS! Next year I am making it up to her, no matter what! If I have to sell something, she is having a Christmas. I really felt like crap not having anything for her to open [&o]Really made the No Job thing a reality.
My daughter did do Toy For Tots at Karate which made her so happy. It was a lot of fun going out and buying toys to give to other kids. She really got into it, and the best part for us...we did it on the BIKE! I may be out of work, but I am far from poor. So we decided to give to those that are far worse off than us. I think it was a good experience for my 6 year old daughter to give to others and understand why. And I think she felt good about it too

I got a Cruz Tools tool kit for the bike, a HD pouch to put it in, HD sweatshirt and a new dew rag! I also figured out how to put together a Thomas the train set for an excited 3 year old that kept asking, "is it ready yet Daddy?" Priceless.
