2011 FXDC tire question
I got a nail in my tire on the way home tonight. I have spoked rims. I called the stealership and they said the tire is tubless and go ahead and plug it. I have never seen a tubless tire on a spoked rim. So my question is on a 2011 FXDC with spoked rims, is the tire really tubless? Is there any other way to make sure without pulling the tire off?

Well ...I thought the tubeless spoked rims started on the 2012 FXDC? But maybe the 2011 also has tubeless spoked rims? Yes, thats right gentlemen ..."tubeless spoked rim"!
Funny story about the tubeless spokes. I got into it with my local dealer's parts boy over the correct gaskets for V&H pipes. Long story short, I said to him ..."I suppose your gonna tell me the spoked wheels on that (2012) SuperGlide Custom takes tubes too"? He smiled and said "damn staight they do"! I challenged him to read the word "tubeless" on the side of the Michelin Scortcher tires. Him and two other salesmen got a little education (about their own products) that day!
I find it common that just because someone works at a Harley delership doesn't gurantee they know much at all about the bikes they sell. Hell, the same salesmen (that thought the SuperGlide wheels had tubes in them) also thought that the SuperGlide had the 103" motor! I had to be the one to tell him (while he was writing the deal on my 2012 FXDC) that it had a 96" motor!

2011 super glide custom owner here.
YES, you have tube's.
how do i know? 2"tek screw in the centre of my rear tire, at exactly 100 mile's on the clock.

i replaced both tire and tube.bike cost a lot of money and i like breathing.

Not yet, but the H-D website says that the 2012 FXDC has "new design tubeless spoke rims"

Indeed...a 2011 FXDC does have tubes.
Picked up a nail in the rear and not knowing any better, I had the tire plugged (the sidewall said "tubeless")
That plug lasted about 50 miles and sure enough, on removal, there it was in all it's glory.......a tube.
