I thinking you might have been sold a Sportster seat.
Sometimes e-Bay sellers don't know what their selling.
I'm running a Super-Glide seat on my 2010 Fat Bob and the holes line up for a perfect fit.
That seat in your picture looks like it came off a Sportster. I could be wrong but my Super-Glide seat looks different from what you have.
Yep, you probably got the wrong seat "by mistake". Once I got what a seller claimed was a Fat Boy headlight and when it arrived, there was a sticker on it that said "Non-DOT, for offroad use only". If I were you, I'd see if you can return it.
I have the opposite of your situation, I have a stock FXDB seat on my Super Glide and the holes match up perfect.
Can you show us a photo of the entire seat? the 2012 Super Glide FXDC has the "ribbed 2-up" seat which has been standard on the FXDC for at least 5 years. My 2007 FXDC had that seat as standard. You probably do not have an FXDC seat. (for 2012, there is no FXD, just the FXDC).
As others have said it is definitely the wrong seat. Check on the underside for any part numbers. Most likely from a Sportster. I would contact the seller and hopefully you can return it. If you are looking for a stock solo seat I have one from an 08 Street Bob. Replaced it with a Mustang shortly after I purchased the bike. PM me if you are interested as I no longer need it and any reasonable offer would be accepted.
