I did the download first and should gone to PCIII instead...the bang for the buck is way better... Bike runs cooler better...Called Fuelmoto and they hooked me up....Been tweaking it slowly but surely with Jamie and Keith...
Not gonna say the download is a complete waste of money....if you do just that and don't do any other upgrades it will be fine...I did cams and had to some tweaking so FM was way better for me...I can now take it to a Tuner and they can work on it to...

I"ll throw in my 2 cents. We have what I have heard is a very good tuner in our area. I stopped by and asked about tuning my bike. I have an 06 with SE a/c and pipes, with the factory download. He told me there was no point in tuning a basically stock bike. I would spend a lot of money and not notice much of a difference if any. I tend to believe someone who tells me not to spend money at his shop more than someone who is always trying to sell me something.

EXACTLY!!!! All these "tuners", "power commanders", dyno tunes, etc. are overkill for a basic stage one.

Man u are persistent. You really don't want the op to get a tuner.
No.......he can do what he wants. I don't care which way he goes, really. I'm just trying to save him some time AND $$$$$. I've "been there, done that", and I wish someone had talked me out of drinking the "you need a tuner" kool-aid before I threw away $1,000.
How come you don't give the same "line" to those who are trying to tell him he DOES need one? There's more of them than there are of me. Something like:
"Man, u guys are persistent. You really want the op to get a tuner."

Deleted post. Don't see the sence in going back and forth with mr hd4evr. I'm done "here"
Wise choice, since I wasn't "going back and forth" with you anyway. I was just posting MY opinion. If that rubbed you the wrong way for some reason, well, that's on you! Ride safe!
