So I am planning on installing a jockey shift on my bike. After that the left side of the bar will be cleared of the shift lever and I will need to clean up the buttons with something a little more profile. I would like to get as close as possible to a clean look on the right also, so I will also be finding someting to clean up the profile of those buttons.
Here is my question for all of you. Has anyone done or seen a relocations of the front brake manifold. I am thinking that a manifold off od a Dyna could be cleaned up (machined) so it could be mounted to.....let's say the bottom of the trees or somewhere in that area.....it could have a lever mechinisum (however that's spelled) that could have a cable accuate it in the same manner it works now. so you would ned up without the bulky manifold on the bar, just a nice small lever that has a cable running from it to the lever down at the manifold and from there it would be a regular setup (brake line).
Just an idea, I am sure I am not the first to think of something like this.
Why not remove the front brake? You want a suicide shifter, which is aptly named, so why not go all the way and remove front brake? This will eliminate the front brake lever, front brake master cylinder and the clunky looking front brake caliper and brake rotor.
