just thinking about just kills me. but just wanted to put this up and think about it!!! got hurt last november at work. fighting for one. keeping from loosing my arm and two. fighting to keep everything else. I love my 08 fxd. it's just the way I want it and it was a present from my wife. but it looks like I'm fixing to have to sell it. it's been a 5 or six month battle with workmans comp. no sympathy needed. just need to vent. thanks guys.
I'm really sorry to hear that. Do you have aflac or anything like that? I joined up just so if I wouldnt lose everything if I got hurt. Again I hope everything works out and you get to keep the bike.
beuraucracy suxxx! What burns me up is thinking about some suit flipping through your file with his cup of starbucks there beside him and his just about to roll his eyes shut and sneak in 40 winks when he gets a text "party tonite?" so he stuffs your folder back in a drawer and bugs out happy.
Bro I can relate to your situation. I was injured at work about 3 years ago and because of someone else's fault I now am on disability. About lost everything but I also worked for POS company
... I love my 08 fxd. it's just the way I want it and it was a present from my wife. ....
Im very sorry for your situation.. I truly feel for you brother. I know you will do everything you can to keep it but I just had to say because of some of the things going on in my own life:
Your bike isnt just a bike. Bike's can be replaced - they make new ones every day. Yours is a special gift from a very special person. Such gifts are not given lightly and not meant to leave our lives. One day you may, and probably will find yourself wishing you still had that GIFT... never mind that it was/is a bike.
there are lawyers that specialize in workers comp. cases. most will work on contingency and sometimes are the only way to get anyone to take you seriously. if you have a good case, some will even help you with living expenses until you get a settlement. look for someone that is board certified in this area of law. and no, i am not a lawyer and do not even like most of them.
It sucks to get hurt at work and then have to struggle financially. if you haven't already done so might be worth consulting your situation with a lawyer. Best of wishes to you!
