OP, the download you got was a generic ecm download and not a dyno-tune to your bike. You won't see better mileage, and those short shots are probably not helping your cause either. Losing power with them.
Yes they probably sound awesome, but sometimes you have to make a choice: form or function. Both have pros and cons.
You wasted $150 on the download when you should have just invested in a reputable fuel management and a good dyno tune (if necessary).
I get "I don't know" highway and "I don't care" on back roads but then again I have a bike cause I'm a biker not to save money this is a lifestyle for me not a hobby
U mean tires need air. Thought they were foam filled. I didn't buy a bike to save on gas I bought a bike cause it's in my blood. I am not a r.u.b. like most people who own bikes
i figure i'm sorting through the mess from the last guy who didn't care how the bike performed, probably just about the way it looked. I mean hell it only had 6k miles on it and it was 5 years old.
as far as the short shots go, i like them because when i start leaning I don't have to worry about them scraping, though long term i am interested in a 2 in to 1, just not on my priority list at the moment.
My switchback gets only 34 mpg when I ride in the city but 44 mpg when I get on the open road. Never saw a bike that hated city driving like the switchback.
i was only getting 25mpg on the average i started getting frustrated having to clean the black soot of my license plated brought it to a different tuner and he found some areas in the 11 to 1 afr range make a long story short almost 50 mph on the highway just cruising and 40 mpg around town and wicking it up some its all in the tune
