Default Lookin' to get comfortable.

I've got an '01 WG that I picked up late last fall. I've got her up and running now, but I'm not real comfortable with my rider position. I've got the OE seat and forward controls. I put some 12" mini-apes on her as well. I'm 6'1" and I feel like I want to push back and up to get comfortable. Where would you guys start? Seat? Like maybe a sundowner? What about a solo seat? Some forward control extensions? My arm position is good, it's more the lower back and legs where I'd like to get some relief. TIA for your suggestions.

Dave

I would start with the seat. Check out Allen at Mean city cycles. He re-did my seat to sit me forward and down but if you read the thread he can do about anything.

sundowner is not the answer as it pushes you in just a little bit more than stock. some guys have mentioned they had it scraped back in the saddle area and they liked it.
sorry I am no help on other models for tall guys.
I am 6'0" and I like my sundowner just fine.

I feel like I have posted this info a lot. Guess a lot of us tall folk are in the same boat. I am 6'5" tall and put 2" extensions on the forward controls, replaced the stocker with a LePera Daddy Long legs seat and added 13" apes. Good luck making it yours!
