2003 Super Glide Conversion?????
My dad has a 98 dynaglide that he just did this conversion to....(please see pic).....If i do the same conversion to my 2003 superglide, will my front end still go out that far? I am hoping so, but all the converions ive seen on a 100th annaversary look like the tire is still to close to the frame.....just wanted to know b/f i dumped the 1k into the conversion......thnx 4 all ur help! Also, i hate the cast rims that come on the 03 super, can i put the same spoked rims on it as the ones in my picture?
Hi,
I'm not really sure what conversion you're referring to....it looks like your dad put some rear spring adapters on the rear to move the mounting point back, thereby lowering the back about 1 inch. also looks like a set of5 degree raked triple trees with a 21 inch front wheel. Yes, this can be done to a 2003.
I personally recommed getting shorter shocks to using the rear shock brackets, and when you do the front trees, there will be a new headlight required, and you'll have to clean up some of the wiring that's hidden behind the stock light.
The 21" front wheel,....just have to make sure it will fit your application.

did he convert it to a wide front end? if so, did he use the 39mm forks or go to 41's? if he got new forks, what length did he use? is there any rake on the triple trees? if so, how much rake and how does it handle? if it is a superglide, where did he mount his speedometer? many questions i would love to ask on this. we would love to hear about your dads experience with the front end conversion, if this is indeed what you are refering to.
the answer to your question is, as traveler said, you can do anything to your 03 your dad does to his 98, other than the engines, the other differences are minor. please get more pics and information from your dad. i don't have any interest in a wide conversion, but remounting my headlight to that style is something i really want to do.

i will post all the answers to your questions tonight around 7pm (august 4th). I will also include 4 file attatchments with pictures...this should answer all your questions....Also, i will talk to HD and see about the headlight conversion....i know it can be done, so i will get a materials list and a price quote........
man that would be most great. i think the headlight conversion should be pretty easy, they have about a millioon lights out there at the custom shops...
i am looking forward to all that info. i am thinking of doing a mid glide conversion and i would love to know... your dads bike looks awesome.
