I like the ignition switch and speedo/tach where they are on my 08 FXDF, but the dash seems a bit high if I look at it from the side.

I've had the dash off several times but I really cant remember what it looks like inside.

Anyone have any thoughts on trimming say a quarter to a half inch all the way around the bottom of the dash IOT to lower it by that much??

 

I took pics during my Speedo/Tach install and here's one of the underside of the FB dash - doesn't look to me like there's a whole lot of excess to trim away but I'll let you be the judge....
