Handshift/Jocketshift

For my needs I see no reason to need a clutch.. Just the addition of a hand shifter. Seems easy enough to find/make/mod one that will attach and leave my current shifter in place.
... anyone else done this? Overkill? Lack of sleep? Get a real job and quit posting so much? Shut the fk up and ride my damn bike?

I know most everyone I ride with shifts clutchless at times... Even when Im "banging" through gears I barely clutch.... two finger slap while shifting then roll the power. Hell the Dynojet Power Commanders have a addon called a "Quick Sifter" that is DESIGNED entirely for shifting without the clutch. The key is... the same as any manual shift tranny... you must UNLOAD the power before shifting. That means letting off the throttle. Dynojet's quickshifter does exactly this - It cuts you ignition for a split second while you shift so u dont bork your tranny while making ur drag run

You only NEED a clutch when stopping and taking off (or friction zoning ofc... but thats a complete new topic). Shifting can be done quite smoothly and safely without the clutch lever ever being touched.
The situation where i think it would be handy is in cases where your cruising in 6th and need to downshift for say a hill climb (bridge, interchange, hill etc) for a short bit before returning to 6th. Sorta a pain to move back to the mid pegs for something like that.
.... that being said - yes I know I can downshift with my heel and upshift with the side of my boot. .. beside the point
