Default Breaking loose the locktite?

Hey experts, got a question for you. I have a saddlebag on the way that in order to mount I will have to attach an extra length of metal to move my license plate back a few inches. The two hex head bolts that are mounted to the license plate bracket are on there tight!!!! Before I attempt to get these out and possibly strip them in the process, are there any tricks of the trade that would make it a lot easier?

Heat them with a micro-torch. Can get them at Home Depot pretty cheap.

Default breaking loose locktight

In another thread (someone had questions about installing an engine guard and having the same issue), a person suggested an electric soldering iron as an option. Good luck ... my engine guard should show up tomorrow and I have an electric soldering iron that I'm going to try if I have problems.

I will give it a shot with the mini torch. Hopefully this mini torch has a very concentrated flame? The screws are only a couple of inches away from my rear tire.

You could also use a heat gun. They will break free.

you should be able to adjust the flame by turning the barrel or a screw on the torch

Taco Bell Burrito Supreme and a bic lighter should work in a pinch.
