Default Trimming my A/C cover

I'm going to trim my a/c cover to fit the stage 1 a/c. Can this be done with the teardrop style cover? Or does it have to be the football style? I'm not sure what years they made the 96c.i. Street bob in the football style. If anyone knows of someone willing to sell theirs, I'm interested.

Thanks in advance for your help. This forum is a huge resource.

I remember another thread about this very recently and I do remember them saying it has to be the football style cover due to the shape of the cover where the circle would be cut out. (sidebar....I have a chrome football style one for sale).

If you go to HD website, they list air filter trims fit up to 07, the 08 teardrop cleaner must be different then.

The teardrop style can be done, but it will not look right due to the shape, I would not waste my time trying it again. Easy enough to make one out of aluminum or buy one.
