Being new to this forum & Harley myself help would be appreciated with questions like this one. Did you ever do a search on something like this when you have know idea what is BS and true?
You get answers on threads from 4 years ago and myself I would like to hear things that are current and possibly more accurate from more experience? The point of this I thought?
Maybe welcome questions with help instead of sarcasm. Maybe if you see a thread thats been done in your mind maybe read it and say nothing or possibly just dont read it?
The problem with asking the same question that's been asked a lot before is that you will get few answers and not from those with experience who have discussed the topic to death in the past. Its much better to do the research first and then ask questions of any details you don't understand.
However, I definitely apologise for the sarcasm. Drink made me do it .
I have been on this forum for a while now and have owned a few Harley's. The key to my Original Post was the 2-1 pipe. I know most people change out their pipes into a 2-2 system. I have done quite a few searches on this topic and I did not see to many 2-1 set ups. This is why I asked the question. Thanks again to all...
Problem with this question is there are 1000 threads on it and no one knows the answer. You get 50% it's ok and 50 that say its not. Even the dealers say the same thing. Flip a coin next time. Unless you know a engineer that works in Harley's engine program believe no one because they don't know. Just like the oil question. Harley's cvo bikes leave the factory with syn 3 and some people say its the worst oil ever made and will ruin your engine. These people are idiots.
if your tight on cash, then do the XEID's from nightrider.com. For 100 bucks its well worth it. It will get more fuel and your engine will run cooler.
Then save up for a tuner and you'll be set
I now have installed the Bassani Road Rage 1d5250 pipe and also added a RSD hi flow air cleaner. The bike is running pretty good however I have notice some slight popping. I have no further upgrades planed in the future so it looks like the Xieds would be a good way for me to make the AF ratio a bit richer. They say the install is fairly easy...
Yes, the install is very easy. I had no experience with working on my Harley when I put them on. The instructions are very good and they are Plug and play.
Learning from my sporster upgrades I definently went with a tuner with the 2 into 1 and stage 1 intake.
very happy.
If it works for you then fine but a tuner will wake it all up more.
I had the Xieds on for a year with the intake stock and Rush slip-ons, but when I installed the K+N intake and the 2 into 1,
I installed the Autotune.
