Hi guys got my first Harley last week a 2012 street bob with ABS in denim black made up with it part from the fact they said the wrong clock was shipped out so I'm riding with an error until it comes.
I want to know if there was any difference from 2012 to 2011 that I could really identify as a bit of paranoia with the hole wrong clock deal. I have a bad feeling and keep thinking it could be an 11 what is still good just don't want to pissed about when I'm paying a lot of money thanks guys.
Your vin would tell you what year an it also says on the sticker on your downtubes. As far as 11-12 there really are no discern able differences other than paint colors available but you said yours was flat black and that has been available since 06
There is another big difference between the '12 bikes and previous years, it's the wiring. In '12 the Dyna line got a CAN bus system so the wiring along with the way most of the electronics work is different. Do a search and read up on it if you'd like, explaining is is beyond the scope of this post but suffice it to say that most electronics for the newer bikes are different. The easiest way to tell them apart is the switchgear. The turn signal switches are different and there is a flash to pass function on the hi-lo beam switch.
awesome so glad I joined this forum been searching for answers for days its takin me a week to work out the bolt sizes for highway pegs and that they are unc threads this forum is sweet thanks
That will suck bait if 103 come out this year but if they do they do can always wait a year or 2 and upgrade to 107 plus even if they upgrade to 103 I'm not sure we will get them in the uk as the wide glides are still packing 96 over here check it out http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_GB....html#/c/specs
