Hey Art0565, well said. Thank you for your post. And thanks for your many tours of service for us all.
And my wife and I would like to thank the many others who posted with good advice. We both feel we should put her current bell on her new bike. It's been with her for the past two years and it's been a good companion.
HMMM.....I did the opposite, when the nightster passed over to the wife, the bell went with it. Figured its been good so far, and with her being a new rider, a little built up luck is a good thing. But I also bought her a new one, so shes stuck with two now. And just this morning, for my birthday, my seven year old son came out of his room with an origami fox head/cup, and inside was a new gremlin bell for my SB thats coming in next week.....you can bet its going on....
For those who don't know what these are, here is mine, given to me by my wife. This one says the "live to ride, ride to live." There are many different styles available, and I've now seen them chromed. I actually think they are a very sweet looking piece, nicely crafted. So I have no issue putting it on my bike, and I'll take all the good luck I can get.
