Default Kreem tank liner problem

In the process of building my wide glide i Kreem tank lined my bike. I did it step by step exactly as they said. (this was about 3 or 4 weeks ago). Looked good then i didn't look at it for a week or so. I just took a look inside the tank and the liner is peeling off in alot of different places. What should i do?

Unfortunately your best fix is to use a time machine and go back to before you used that crap. I have only ever seen bad results with it. POR15 is infinitely better.

You have a tough job removing the Kreem but that's your only option now, it can't be fixed. There have been threads here about how best to go about removing it.

never used it, never will. SouthTexas heat, 16 years of bikes, never an issue without a tank liner.

Use the POR-15 Heavy Duty kit to remove the Kreem and recoat. Might be able to get a Radiator shop to tank it to remove it as well.

Sorry to hear you spent the time and money and the results have you in a situation you were trying to avoid!

A radiator shop that has bike tank experience is the clean and easy way to have it done.

My original factory coating has been breaking down for a while. I drain the tank and clean the filter from time to time until I can focus on just that issue.

I've read up on "do it yourself" kits, and the chemicals are not something I want to ever be exposed to.

Thanks, guys. I've never seen a radiator shop in my area. I'll have to ask around. Such a bummer seeing as i was a week away from finishing my bike. What about Acetone? i read that you can use that to remove kreem.

Acetone might break it down... It would be worth a try. I wanted to recommend red-kote. I used it on an old tractor I restored. It'll turn your gas red for a little while but it dosen't hurt anything. Hope this helps.

I found a radiator place that would do it for $25.
