Big Radius Drone
I have had V&H big radius installed on my street bob for about 500 miles now and theyve sounded great. Two days ago they started making this annoying drone(hollow) noise and I have no idea why. Someone please help me out its annoying as all hell. thanks.

They're just now starting to break into what they really sound like. They may sound "hollow" to you while riding but they're more aggressive than you think. It has to do with what's known as the Doppler Effect.

Thanks everyone but the problem appeared to big bigger then expected. After hearing this drone, the motor started making sort of a ticking sound. With it being still under warranty (2300 mi) I brought it in. Apparently some bolt in the head wasn't tightened properly from the factory and over time loosened and did some damage to the rear head or cylinder. Theyre still working on it but it sounded like they're going to replace a pushrod, valve, gaskets and some other stuff. Ill let ya know exactly what needed to be fixed when I get it back. Just my luck, new bike and finally some good weather, now this.

wow, that's a lot of work...in the mean time, i hope they got you a loaner bike...good luck
