Bah, so glad we've moved this thing forward I have a feeling little squirt has an archive of bikini shots on his bike (just dont tell the mods if they're older than 5 days)
I'm thinking if Blueangle is still active in the Dyna forums he could take the lead on this or even pass the torch to Rene-FXD2003Rider as I'm no longer a Dyna owner and rarely step in here. I still think the rules are fair and fit the spirit of the challenge but if a change can make it flow better by all means do it. This thing was by no means my brain child, I just stole it from the Sportster crowd who stole it from a Jeep forum who stole from who knows who.
My last post "dissapeared". I didn't think I was going to write anything more in this thread because of that, but now since ackman1968 have chimed in I might as well.
My last post was to the point and it stated some facts. For example that ackman1968 is not active in this thread anymore and look above this post what he writes.
Another fact I wrote was that everyone who has been following this thread from the beginning, and that includes me, knows that two times has this game going down the drain and "restarted" with a new crowd. I wrote that this is starting to happen again for the third time in the exact same manner as it did the second time. Apparently not something I was allowed to write.
This is another fact: The 48-hour rule needed to be in place because we learned that very often people just AWOL from the forum for a few days or a week. Life takes over, if that guy is the one that put out the challenge according to the rules he was also the one that needed to accept it. Well we ..... waited ...... and waited .... and then we needed a rule that said that we needed to have a time limit.
The time limit is not needed if the thread is active and members actually says out loud that they need more time but will fix the challenge in a couple of days. But if it dies and people just say it's not fixable, then that time limit came in pretty handy.
But what the ones that makes posts dissapear seems to forget is not the rules but why the rules were put in place. This particular one was to get the challenges going but if everyone in the thread (new crowd, new rules?) actually shouts out that it's doable just wait. Well at least to me that is in the fun spirit of this game, to cheer each other to make the picture if it is doable.
Same thing the other way around, if most people active in the thread thinks that it should move on from a challenge since it's not doable (even if it is inside some set time limit) please just do it. This will also get the challenges going.
I encourage everyone to go back in the thread, it's got a few funny pages from a while ago when it went south because of old pictures instead of new ones. Funny posting.

That's not why it went south...it tanked because "someone" decided that others who were actually playing the game posted one (or three) too many times. That kind of buzz-kill forum enforcement drives people away.
Looking forward to the results of the next challenge if anyone's still into it. Mrs. Squid has promised to let me get a few pics that would meet WideGlideFever's tasking, but won't clear them for public release.
I may have to find a freelancer on my way up PCH tomorrow.
Well put Pheur. If those who are currently active do not have an issue withy the pace of the challenge...ride on! It's a high in the 50's today here in Michigan. Ain't nobody puttin' on a bikini. I'll have to sit this one out. Looking forward to the next challenge.
Pheur much nailed it on the head. Everything seemed to be going pretty well until Rene-FXD2003Rider started throwing rules around out of the blue. Then pushing his weight around by demanding his challenge and deleting posts. I don't have to point it out as everyone saw it. But things were moving along a whole lot better than before I posted that buffalo pic. I say we just move along and have fun with it, if that still possible...
So it sounds like everyone is in agreement, lets just keep it going and have fun with it! Still waiting (anxiously)for someone to meet the current challenge!
