Is 20-30ct considered a patch? Down here, it it's not at least 100+ acres, it's just a hobby. Especially with cotton, soy beans and stock corn for cattle. Lot of open space in Texas to grow stuff, though. I grew some squash and watermelons once, when I lived in the country. That's kinda like pumpkins, isn't it? Just a hobby in the back yard, though... tp

There was a patch here last year in Encinitas. It caught my eye because unlike the Northeast, pumpkin patches are pretty rare in SOCAL. I'll swing by on my way out this morning and see if it's there again this year.

This little place is only open Labor day through the end of October.....during pumpkin season!

3rd week of October Circleville has a Pumpkin Show. They close the town down for the week, totally, and set up all sorts of rides and eateries all over town.
