Default legend air ride suspension

Anybody using them? I lowered my Fat Bob with Burlys in the rear and progressive drop ins up front and although I love the looks Im not so sure about riding 2 up. Im already dragging my pegs hard in turns and Im trying to avoid scraping my primary or taking out my Edge tail light. My OL is always nagging me to take her for rides so I was thinking about getting air ride so I could roll low solo and then raise it up when she wants to ride. She isnt a fatass by any means but she isnt small either. So any opinions on the Legend set up or are there other brands I should check out? Thanks.

Default legend air ride (pros. vs. cons)

I bought the L9 air ride for my 99 Softail and these are my thoughts...

(Pros.)

-The system delivers what it is selling. It is a smoother ride and pretty much takes the impact out of the everyday bumps and splits of the road. The big ones still get ya-

-The range of the shock is impressive!! (with some exceptions that I will touch on in my cons) When you want the bike to ride low.....its low-

-Pretty simple to install

-Its pretty cool

(Cons.)

-Kind of expensive (but you know that if your buying them so its not a surprise)

-For my bike, the wires were short when I needed them long and long where I needed them short. Not a big issue but I if I had to point out something wrong with the set up that would be it.

-The compressor takes just over 10 amps to pump up the bike. If your showing off to your friends be careful. To many ups will kill your battery.

-When the shocks are pumped up all the way the bike rides like a hard tail (makes sense) If the shocks are lowered all the way the bike rides like a hard tail too (also makes sense)

**Remember your rear end effects your front end. You ride low the bike handles different then if you ride according to your factory height.

Over all I am very happy with the product. Shocks are shocks really. These are simply adjustable with a touch of a button. Is it worth it? Yeah....a passenger does change how the bike handles so why not be able to adjust how the bike reacts to that added weight?

Bottom line I recommend them. Just be smart when pumping up the bike-

Hope it helps
